thank you thank you thank you
Throughout this period of discomfort, growing pains, and questioning our place within the roles we've created for ourselves, one truth rings clear: our environment and relationships are the clearest mirror we'll ever see.
That's right. I said mirror.
Let me elaborate - first with a short truth, then some soliloquy.
We accept the love we think we deserve.
I want you to read that again: We accept the love we think we deserve. This isn't just a platitude that we double tap on Instagram while we scroll through the daily deluge of content. This is fact.
We accept the job we feel we deserve. We accept the pay we think we deserve. We accept the relationships we think we deserve. This can be applied to any level of our lives. Anywhere we feel inadequate, like we aren't enough, like we aren't worthy, life gives us what we think we deserve.
Pay extra attention to the word, "think." Regardless of our inherent worthiness, we have our own judgment on what we are and are not worthy of having/doing/being. Regardless of our innate wholeness, we love to convince ourselves that we are less than.
But how do I stop settling? How do I step into my inherent worth?
GRATITUDE. Buckets of it. Carloads of it. Boats of it.
One word that repeatedly shows up in manifestation literature is, "abundance." They tell you to get out of scarcity mindset and to live in abundance. But what does that even mean?
Simply, it means that you have to learn how to look around and be thankful for the life you have before you can invite in more.
Learn how to thank the bed you wake up in daily.
Thank your mattress for giving you a place to lay.
Thank your pillow for supporting your head.
Thank your blankets for keeping you warm.
Thank your coffee maker for that hot cup of joe every morning that hits your soul different than any subsequent cup ever could.
Thank your breakfast for nourishing your body.
Thank your home for giving you shelter, warmth, running water.
You see where this is going.
Gratitude is the antidote to misery, and there are a million moments in each day where you can say thank you, whether it's to an inanimate object that helps you make it through or to another living being and their presence in your life.
Regardless of whether you be prince or pauper, these principles are simple and free to incorporate into your routines. Best yet, watch how this simple act of gratitude can take an ordinary day into something extraordinary. Imagine the ripple effect it will have on those around you.
That, my friends, is immeasurable.
As your gratitude practice begins to recolor your day to day, watch your desires, your goals, your dreams begin to enter your life with greater ease than ever before. Watch smiles turn into conversations that become opportunities.
Watch your present begin to evolve, all from a simple daily practice dedicated to your inner world. Watch your life start to change now that your mind spends more time in a state of gratitude, curiosity, and play than in its former state of questioning and fear.
Watch your life change as it shifts from being mind-centric to being heart-centric.
Imagine what can happen when you start living your life from your heart center.
Imagine what miracles you'll experience.
Imagine what magic you'll create.
Imagine life surpassing all expectations, all because you started a simple daily practice.
It really is that simple.
What are you thankful for today?
Where can you find gratitude that may require some searching?
How can you express gratitude to 3 people today?
See how you can incorporate this practice into your life over the next week and notice what shifts occur; they are all together minute and massive.
