What is the most favorite thing you've owned?
My husband's grandpa's mid-century couch & chair set. When it was passed down to us I felt like we won the lottery. Having it come from family was so special!
Least favorite taste or thing to eat?
cilantro. respectfully, it ruins everything ☺️
Letter, text, email, or phone call?
phone call. hearing someones voice is priceless.
Best invention ever?
a camera. obviously, I'm biased as a photographer, but having photos of people are irreplaceable.
One thing you just have to do in your life?
What would you tell yourself when you were 15 if you could?
Favorite clothing brand/label?
levis. I'm a total jeans girl & have always loved their fit & how timeless they are!
What’s the biggest thing you lost during this pandemic?
this is a hard question because with every loss I can think of, there was a beautiful gain. every person or relationship I lost, made room for another. I lost work but gained months of quality time with my mom & family. I lost my patience, time & mind a little bit, but I have also gained perspective, appreciation of every time with loved ones & better mental health practices/boundaries. the last two years have taken a lot from us, but there has been good too. holding space for both is important.
Best childhood memory?
playing in the pool with my friends. I always felt so free, full of laughter & had so much fun swimming & playing around. I think about being in the water when I need to go to my happy place.
If someone gave you a million dollars what would you do with it?
travel. give support to friends & family. maybe buy a dream house somewhere.
Favorite car you have owned or wish you owned?
my first car was a tiny little manual pontiac sunfire & I have the best memories of learning how to drive stick-shift as a teenager, laughing down country roads with my mom. all of my most embarrassing moments are from driving or parking that car. I took many road trips & sang many songs at the top of my lungs & learned a lot about growing up in that car. it's not my favourite by type, but it's definitely my favourite by memories.
One item you always pack for a trip?
my camera. I've truly never gone anywhere without it.
