1) After our period of social distancing, what will be your new normal?

My new normal will revolve around a theme of presence. Being forced to slow down so much so abruptly forced me to confront my inner environment in a way that I was, arguably, distracting myself from in my hustle. I am learning how to be more present with myself on a mental, physical, and spiritual levels. I am learning how to be more intentional in my daily routines, how to create a structure that best serves myself and my family. My new normal will be connection, both with myself and with those around me.

2) Who inspires you to be a better person? Why?

Mr. Fred Rogers is one of my biggest inspirations. I recently watched the Tom Hanks movie about him as well as two documentaries I found on Prime Video, and the way he approached life and relationships is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Throughout his lifetime, Mr. Rogers advocated for children and taught them about difficult subjects such as emotions, divorce, birth, death, and so much more, but in a way that was both gentle and direct. When he spoke with people, he was fully present and showed everyone the same amount of respect and love. Mr. Rogers was a living, breathing example of how I aspire to show up in my relationships.

3) What are your life priorities?

Thematically speaking, my life priorities are my relationships, traveling, creating, and health & wellness. Above all else, my relationships are the most important thing in my life, both friends and family. Beyond that, I crave adventure and experiences through traveling, which subsequently fuels my need to create. Lastly, I need the energy and physical ability to do all of the above, so taking care of my body and mind is key.

4) What always makes you laugh?

My husband. After close to a decade together, I still have no idea what’s going to come out of his mouth next.

5) Do you have any siblings? Are you close?

I don’t have any biological siblings, but i have three step siblings - two younger and one older. We are close.

6) What is the first thing you think about in the morning?

The first thing I think about in the morning is making my husband eggs, closely followed by making my coffee.

7) What do you like most about your job?

I like three things most about my job: I love that I have the freedom to create and strategize. I love having the opportunity to geek out over some of the most amazing vintage clothes I’ve had the good fortune to see. i love the people I work with, both on the organization side and our customers. There really is no other place like Do Good Co.

8) In one sentence, describe yourself?

I am a woman who lives to create, finds purpose in hard work, finds fulfillment in my relationships, and regularly deep dives into who I am in order to continuously level up.

9) Where will you be in: 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?

In 5 years, I will be walking the entrepreneurial pathway again designing websites and writing marketing plans so I can raise my two future babies at home. In 10 years, I will be in a modest home with my family with a small plot of land where I can grow vegetables and have some chickens (and maybe a couple of goats, but don’t tell my husband). In 20 years, I will be happy; my kids will be in high school and/or college and my marriage will be playful and strong and I will have positively impacted many people’s lives and I will be happy and surrounded by love.
